ABD DVD Release (click here to purchase) - Friar's Lantern Entertainment is proud to announce the highly anticipated DVD release of the
feature farce comedy AT BEST DERIVATIVE, hailed by the Arizona Republic as "the next top indie film"!
This
2 disc special edition DVD includes hours of extra bonus features including: • Deleted Scenes • Extended
Scenes • Outtakes • A crazy "DVD disclaimer" • The full audio scene of "Cyborg
Baby", performed by various cast/crew members • Full length feature commentary with Ryan Pierson (director/producer)
and Jeremy K. Clayton (writer/producer) • Cast/Crew Interviews
This ridiculous 2-hour belly laugh
is a self-conscious farce comedy that sets out to prove that it is always best to be yourself, even when "yourself"
is a pathetic loser with no chance at any real accomplishment.
March 20th, 2009: After a VERY busy 2 years,
all of FLE's efforts culminated with the very successful premiere of ABD on March 6th at the beautiful Tempe Center
for the Arts. We are very happy with how the film turned out, as well as audience reaction and feedback that we have received!
So what's next for FLE? Well, we intened on going into "official" pre-production on our next feature, a western
entitled "COMMODORE", in late '09. Until then, we are taking a short "rest" and doing early talent search
for the two lead characters in the film. We are taking this project very seriously and intend to spend several months
working with these actors in shaping their characters as well as refining the script and a few of the production details.
We'll call this "pre-pre-production". We'll continue to keep you posted on the progress and will post any
casting calls/details here. Keep your eye on the lantern!
