WHAT THE HECK IS THIS?!



SO, WHAT IS FILMSTOCK?
The Lantern loves the filmmaker, especially the indie filmmaker. Then again, why wouldn't they? Everyone loves an underdog. Someone that works toward seemingly impossible feats with limited to zero resources, all the while maintaining an attitude of optimisism and enthusiasm. Is that you? Is that your crew?

FILMSTOCK is a first look film festival that showcases short films (films under 20 minutes in length, unless otherwise approved by FLE) of all genres including documentaries. Although your film does have to be selected, we only select AZ films, the festival happens monthly and we never run the same films more than once... hence the "first look" description. You can submit films for FREE consideration. Click here for submission guidlines and entry forms.

YEAH, BUT WHAT DOES IT COST ME?
NOTHING... unless you want to turn a profit. Friar's Lantern umbrellas a media duplication business, Lantern Media that will short order DVD copies and prepare them for distribution at your command. They will then sell these DVD's to customers at the premiere and you receive the earnings. You only pay for duplication and packaging of each DVD, that is if you want to. Any unsold items will be returned to the filmmaker at the end of the festival. But, this is an OPTION, not a requirement.
